Since opening our almost 5 years ago, we’ve made it a priority to support local artists. For anyone who’s been through the store recently, our current featured artists’ work will certainly grab your attention. Here is some information about Emily Cooper:
Born and raised a Vancouverite, Emily Cooper began her career at sixteen with her first newspaper publication for the Vancouver Playhouse Theatre. She continued on, doing photography for the Shaw Festival, and various theatre and dance companies. Her official education began at Sheridan and she received an award for being the top student in her graduating year. Emily started doing complex composites after an intensive Photoshop course in Santa Fe, New Mexico under renowned Seattle artist David Julian. Her art has been published in the Applied Arts magazine and has been nominated for the International Color Photography award.
