En Gyokuro
Superior grade of a well-known classic from the Tsuen family, Japan’s oldest tea family. Literally meaning “Jade Dew”, Gyokuro is strongly embraced as being one of Japan’s most prestigious tea. Grown on the misty mountain slopes of Uji, tea bushes are covered for three weeks, followed by a careful picking done entirely by hand. Leaves form fine needle-like twists, with a deep jade color and beautiful sheen. Fresh, full, clean, vegetal flavour, with subtle marine notes.
