Established in 2005, Shaktea is an owner-operated, eclectic boutique-style tearoom and tea merchant, located in the hip Main Street area of beautiful East Vancouver. We are extremely proud of our creative community and actively promote the uniqueness of local small businesses. Shopping on Main Street is truly one of Vancouver’s top pleasures!

The name Shaktea is inspired by the Hindu Goddess, who represents divine feminine energy and who brings harmony and restoration. With that in mind, we have taken a conscious step away from the popular, electrically-charged environment, to create a balanced, calming space for you to catch your breath. Over the years, we regularly hear how relaxed we’ve made our customers feel, and we take immense pleasure in creating a “spa” for your soul.

We hope to have an opportunity to nurture your interest in tea, and strive to take tea beyond being just a beverage to being an experience.
